Some more fantastic news – the Rotary Club of Hampton in Melbourne, Australia has decided to adopt not just one but TWO schools in the Yasawa Islands in Fiji. This will be a tremendous help to families in the Yasawa Islands, and means that more and more children will be able to attend school regularly, complete their education, and reduce the financial demands on their families.
ABCD Board member Greg Wragg is also a member of the Rotary Club of Hampton and was the prime mover in bringing about these two new ABCD projects – so thank you Greg and thank you to the Rotary Club of Hampton.
The two schools that will take part in the new ABCD Projects in 2012 are the Ratu Namasi Memorial Primary School near the villages of Nabukeru and Tamasua, and the Yasawa High School on Naviti Island.
